Yulhee Files Lawsuit Against Ex-Husband Choi Min-Hwan, Seeks Custody And Alimony

According to Korean media outlets on Monday, November 4, former LABOUM member Yulhee filed legal charges against her ex-husband, FT Island's drummer Choi Min-hwan.

Yulhee filed a lawsuit in the Seoul Family Court against Min-hwan and requested a change in custody and a more equitable division of assets and alimony. Yulhee claimed that such crucial matters were not properly addressed during their divorce proceedings in December 2023. Minhwan currently has custody of all three of their children.

Previously, Yulhee revealed on her YouTube channel that they had agreed to grant initial custody rights to Minhwan but would transfer them back to her once things were settled. She also mentioned that Minhwan offered her a lump sum of 50 million won and 2 million won in monthly child support upon transferring custody, but none of these were finalized yet.

Yulhee also went into detail about Minhwan's alleged instances of abuse, particularly placing cash on her chest in front of their family members, to which she later realized that these were actions done in prostitution houses frequented by her ex-husband. She also released audio recordings that allegedly contain conversations between Minhwan and another man discussing prostitution.

In response to Yulhee's allegations, FT Island's agency FNC Entertainment, released a formal apology for the controversy surrounding Minhwan and announced that he would halt all activities. Minhwan, who has appeared on the KBS 'Return of Superman' with his children, has also been edited out from the show.

Meanwhile, Yulhee and Minhwan tied the knot and had their firstborn in 2018. In 2020, the couple welcomed their twin daughters. However, after five years of marriage, the couple announced their divorce in December 2023.
