MONSTA X Members Reunite To Celebrate Minhyuk's Military Discharge

On the morning of October 3, MONSTA X member Minhyuk officially completed his mandatory service. Minhyuk, who began his military service on April 4 last year, has served as an active-duty soldier for 18 months at the 5th Infantry Division of the Republic of Korea Army.



On this special day, fans and the press gathered together to welcome Minhyuk back to the civilian life, but none of them welcomed him more warmly than all of his beloved MONSTA X members. Joohoney, Kihyun, and Hyungwon, who are all currently serving in the military, also welcomed Minhyuk and shared photos of the group's momentous reunion.

At 4 PM KST of the same day, Minhyuk greeted MONBEBES through a YouTube live.

Through a release from Starship Entertainment, Minhyuk reflected on his experiences during military service and expressed his gratitude to fans who tirelessly waited for his return.

Through my military life, I was able to grow a bit more as a person, and it was a precious and valuable time in my life. Thanks to MONBEBE's support, I was able to complete my service in good health, both physically and mentally. Recently, we celebrated the 9th anniversary of MONBEBE, and even though the hiatus has been long due to the members' enlistments, I'm incredibly grateful to MONBEBE for always believing in and waiting for us. Knowing I had a team to return to gave me strength... From now on, I'll make sure to repay you all with better news and more diverse appearances, as you've all been waiting for so long.

Starship Entertainment has also announced Minhyuk's special treat for MONBEBES - an in-person event "2024 MINHYUK Fan Event [Let's GO!5rae]" which will be held at the Yes24 Live Hall on October 6. The fan event will be free for all the fans who wish to greet Minhyuk and create lasting memories with their idol.

Known for their charismatic stage presence and powerful songs, MONSTA X debuted in May 2015 with their first EP 'Trespass', and has released hits including 'DRAMARAMA', ' Shoot Out', 'Love Killa', and 'GAMBLER'. With Minhyuk's return, the group will now promote with three members including Shownu and I.M. who are currently active and have continuously promoted the group.

Meanwhile, MONSTA X member Joohoney is expected to finish his military service in January 2025. Kihyun and Hyungwon are set to return in February and May 2025, respectively.
