NewJeans Showed Their Support To Min Heejin During A Livestream

The YouTube video posted by NewJeans, expressing unfairness about the dismissal of former CEO Min Heejin, was deleted about three hours after it was posted.

On the 11th, NewJeans held a livestream to discuss HYBE's unfair actions.

"The reason why I decided to do a live broadcast was that it was hard to see (staff members) suffer under unfair demands and pressure even though (Min Heejin) was dismissed shortly after. And I am worried about the future of the five of us, so I have to be brave," said Hyein.

Hyein said, "I was worried about how the reaction would be after the live stream. I was worried that the CEO would say something wrong. I want to say this clearly. It's a live stream that the five of us prepared because we really wanted to say something."

Hyein said, "Even fans are coming forward to help, but I didn't think we were the only ones hiding," and added, "It takes five lives to wait for the job of adults. I was courageous because I thought it was a healthy way to tell our story directly rather than doing nothing."

Hyein then said, "In conclusion, it's about HYBE. We had a meeting with management. We talked about our opinions there, but what we wanted was not delivered clearly," and added, "Unless we talk about it in this way, our thoughts are not delivered, so we're preparing for a live."

Leader Minji said, "Even the staff didn't know about our live stream today. They must have been surprised. Everyone watching now must have been surprised. I had a lot of thoughts on where to start. I will try to make it as understandable as possible."

Minji said, "Since my debut as NewJeans, I have had enough time to get to know Min Heejin," adding, "I was wary and afraid of adults I worked with, but it was the first time someone approached me with such an open mind. It was awkward, but I definitely felt a difference and I gained faith," expressing awe of Min.

"I know that there have been various issues including the debut schedule of NewJeans since before our debut," Minji said. "It was good to work with her. The members felt the same way."

"It's natural that we want to be with her," Danielle continued in English, conscious of global fans.

"Throughout our time with Min Heejin since our debut as NewJeans, the world we all want to create has felt similar. Our vision was similar in many ways," Danielle said.

Danielle continued, "I was able to sincerely prepare all the work with Min Heejin. I think that the sincerity was revealed in the work. I think it is possible to do something wholeheartedly because the people we work with have the same vision as trust in each other."

"CEO Min Hee Jean is not only the person who makes our music, but also the person who makes NewJeans and explains it in a way that we can understand," Danielle said.

Danielle then said, "NewJeans has a clear color and tone," adding, "It's the result of our collaboration with Min Heejin. She is indispensable to NewJeans' identity and we all think we can't replace her."

Haerin said, "Even after we debuted, there were so many irrational and incomprehensible things that you don't know about. As anyone who knows, videos and personal records of our trainee days were released. We were surprised when we first saw that."

"I couldn't understand that a company that was supposed to protect us failed to manage and leak such data," Haerin said. "Of course, we are in a situation where we think that strange data or false information about us will spread in the future," adding, "We raised a problem with our parents and Min, but HYBE did not solve it. There was no active action. In the meantime, Min was fired."

In the video, now deleted, they expressed their concerns about the future of the group.
