She is a member of Dreamcatcher, in which she was added to on December 1, 2016 when the group rebranded from MINX to Dreamcatcher. She debuted with the group on January 13, 2017 with the release of the single "Nightmare".
Handong made her solo debut with the chinese single "曙光" ("The First Light of Dawn"), on October 20, 2020.
