Introduction

Henry (헨리) is a Chinese-Canadian singer, rapper, composer, and actor currently under AXIS and Monster Entertainment Group based in South Korea and China. He debuted in 2008 as a member of Super Junior-M and launched his solo career in 2013 with "Trap". His original soundtrack "It's You" released in 2017 became the most streamed Korean OST on Spotify for two consecutive years in 2018 and 2019. In 2018, Henry left SM Entertainment following the expiration of his contract, and subsequently joined Monster Entertainment Group.

Henry made his Hollywood debut in 2019 with the film A Dog's Journey produced by Amblin Entertainment. In 2020, he starred in the action-fantasy movie Double World. The film was released on Netflix and the Chinese streaming service iQIYI, becoming the first movie produced in Mainland China to have a simultaneous global release.

Henry is also known for his television work in the programs Real Man and I Live Alone, for which he received the Best Newcomer Award (2014) and Excellence Male Award (2017) respectively at the MBC Entertainment Awards.

Henry acted in the 2019 American film, "A Dog's Journey" which the sequel to the film "A Dog's Purpose".

His go-to Australian snacks are Pizza Shapes and Chocolate Kangaroo.

He is not much into Korean food.

For almost a year after he relocated to Korea, Henry ate mostly chicken soup because he had a hard time finding other foods that he liked.

He believes that anything is possible if one puts his mind and soul into it. Having the right team is also a key to be successful.

When he was new to Korea he confused the word “Chopsticks” with “Chocolate”. He would ask for chocolate instead of chopsticks even in restaurants.

His favorite snacks are Korean onion ring snacks, Fruit Gushers (they remind him of his childhood), Pop rock candy, Skittles, Oreos and milk, and Rollups.

He was a violinist for Super Junior’s first album, which led to speculations that he would join the group. But he and Zhou Mi were reserved for the Chinese sub-unit.

He takes most of his time to work on melodies more than any other part of the song.

He was surprised by Super Junior’s physical intimacy. He even wondered if they were gay, especially Heechul who looked like a woman with his long hair.
