Ahn Hyejin, known under her stage name Hwasa, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, rapper, dancer, and television personality under P Nation. She is best known as the lead rapper, one of the lead vocalist, and maknae of the girl group MAMAMOO. and a former member of the project girl group Refund Sisters.

Hwasa lived with her parents and two elder sisters, and became friends with Wheein in middle school. Hwasa has wanted to become a singer since she was young, and was inspired by Beyoncé. She considered acting to be the second thing she loves, wanting to participate in musicals or acting. She joined RBW as a trainee in 2011 alongside Wheein. then she debuted under the stage name "Hwasa" as part of the group MAMAMOO on June 19, 2014.
