Kangnam

Introduction

Yasuo Namekawa, also known as Kangnam (강남), is a Korean-Japanese Singer, Model, and TV personality under Sandbox Network.

He joined the Japanese band Kick Chop Busters (KCB) in March 2008 with the stage name Ya-Cha as a new member. He later quit the band in 2010 for Unknown Reasons. He debuted as a Soloist releasing his 1st single “Say My Name" in 2011, shortly before joining M.I.B, and was the Lead Vocalist and the Oldest Member of M.I.B, a South Korean Hip-Hop Group. (M.I.B later disbanded in 2017). Following M.I.B's Disbandment, He later released several singles and EPs.

He married Lee Sang-Hwa (A Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist) in 2019. Since 2021, He has been the Main Host of his own YouTube show "Neighborhood Friend Kangnam".

On October 6, 2023, Kangnam was announced as the CEO of ARMADA Ent, where he produced the boy group ONE PACT.

On May 21, 2024, it was announced that Kangnam had stepped down from his position as ARMADA Ent's CEO since January 2024.
