Nagai Manami

Introduction

Nagai Manami (Korean: 나가이 마나미; Japanese: 永井 愛実) is a Japanese trainee. She is a former member of the female trainee group KISS GIRL'S and of the Fukuoka-based drum band, Nowadaiko.

Manami became a drummer of Nowadaiko at the young age of 6 and worked with them for over 12 years until 2021. The drum band was formed by her father, Nagai Hiromichi, who raised Manami with the skill of performing traditional Japanese wataiko (drums). She ultimately left the drum band in 2021 to pursue her dreams of becoming a singer. Manami is the third and youngest daughter of Nagai Yuuko and Nagai Hiromichi, who is the president and leader of Nowadaiko and the founder of ND-STUDIO. Her two older sisters, Nagai Ayaka and Nagai Ryouka are also members of Nowadaiko.

She is best known for being contestant on the 2021 South Korean reality survival show, "Girls Planet 999".
