Hirai Momo is a Japanese dancer, rapper, and singer-songwriter under JYP Entertainment. She is best known as the main dancer and sub rapper of the sensational girl group TWICE. She is also a member of TWICE's Japanese subunit MISAMO.
Momo started dancing at a very young age. Her talent and passion led her to train at 'Step Out Studio' in Japan. There, she was scouted by a JYP Entertainment agent and was invited to audition for the 2011 JYP Japan Audition. Momo passed and ended up moving to South Korea as an official JYP Entertainment trainee. Years later, in 2015, Momo appeared as a contestant in the survival show SIXTEEN. Despite getting eliminated, Momo was brought back by JYP and ended up debuting as a member of TWICE.
