Miyawaki Sakura is a Japanese singer-songwriter, dancer, composer, actress, and model under Source Music and A.M. Entertainment. She is best known as the oldest member of the girl group LE SSERAFIM and a former member of the project girl group IZ*ONE and the Japanese idol girl group HKT48.
She ranked #2 in the hit survival show Produce48 with 316,105 votes, earning her a spot in the group. She made her debut as a member of IZ*ONE on October 29, 2018, with their first mini album "COLOR*IZ". On April 29, 2021, IZ*ONE disbanded after their contract of two years and six months ended.
After IZ*ONE's disbandment in April 2021, Sakura confirmed on May 15, 2021, that she would leave HKT48 and she held a graduation concert on June 1. On March 14, 2022, Sakura, alongside former IZ*ONE member Kim Chaewon, signed exclusive contracts with Source Music and will be debuting as part of LE SSERAFIM in May. On March 21, 2022, Japanese talent agency A.M. Entertainment confirmed through their official website that she had joined the agency for her individual activities in Japan.
Sakura debuted as a member of LE SSERAFIM on May 2, 2022, with their first mini album "FEARLESS."
