Sik-K (식케이), born Kwon Min-sik (권민식) is a South Korean rapper who debuted with the EP “Flip” on July 20, 2016 and is currently under Jay Park & Cha Cha Malone’s H1GHR MUSIC.
He briefly lived in Vancouver, British Columbia as a teenager before returning to South Korea to pursue music. He participated in the 2015 season of "Show Me the Money", made it to the TOP 16 in Team AOMG but was eventually dropped out of the line-up. He later began releasing his own music. He released his debut EP, “Flip” via OTC, also known as Outside the Circle, a crew he is under, but soon signed to Jay Park & Cha Cha Malone’s H1GHR MUSIC.
He is a part of the underground hip-hop crew Yelows Mob with GroovyRoom, Park Gyujeong, Lee Hwimin, Lee Gwangmin, Jung Gwangmin, Jung Sungmin, Mac Kidd, Baek Jaehoon, Naeezy, Thomas Lee, Vangdale, Boycold, Billy & Hyeongeun.
Over the next few years, Sik-K would go on to release various EPs and mixtapes, including the stylistically variated “H.A.L.F. (Have.A.Little.Fun)“ in 2017 and "TRAPART" in 2018. His style was influenced by the likes of Drake and Wiz Khalifa to a certain extent, but production from GroovyRoom gave his 2018 mixtape “TRAPART“ its own slow-moving character.
His studio debut, “FL1P” arrived in early 2019, with contributions from Crush, Jessi & The Quiett. The album peaked at #28 on the Gaon chart. He followed that in September of the same year with “S.O.S. (Sink or Swim)” with Coogie.
