Sunye is the former leader and main vocalist of the Wonder Girls. She debuted with the group in February 10, 2007 with "Irony."
On December 10, 2021, the first episode of Mama The Idol aired, where she was revealed as the third participant. She then debuted with the group Mamadol on January 28, 2022 with the release of their single "Mama The Idol", which included the song called "WooAh Hip". Unfortunately, the group then disbanded on February 4 following the airing of the final episode.
On February 17, 2022, it was announced that Sunye had signed with BlockBerryCreative, which is a subsidiary of her previous agency Polaris Entertainment.
