Choi Seongyoon, popularly known as Y, is the Main Vocalist and Visual of the Boy Group Golden Child under Woollim Entertainment. In 2012, Y joined Woollim to be an Actor but had a change of heart and trained to become a singer instead.
On December 27th, Woolim took to Weverse to announce that the exclusive contracts of Golden Child members Lee Daeyeol, Y, Bae Seungmin, Bong Jaehyun and Kim Donghyun will come to an end on December 31st.
