SNSD's Sunny received a positive COVID-19 test result.
On August 24th, SM Entertainment announced through a fan community site, "Sunny tested positive for COVID-19 today."
According to the agency, Sunny first exhibited the symptoms of COVID-19 the day before and used a self-diagnosis testing kit. The next morning, she proceeded with a rapid antigen test before officially testing positive for it.
Sunny immediately halted all schedules and is currently in quarantine while adhering to the guidelines of health authorities. As a result, Sunny will be absent from the first pitch event for the KT Wiz and Doosan Bears baseball game at Jamsil Stadium today, August 24th.
Meanwhile, SNSD or Girls' Generation made their first comeback in 5 years with their seventh full-length album, "FOREVER 1," on August 5th.
