ITZY's Lia Donates 30 Million Won to Cancer Patients

On December 29th, The National Cancer Center Development Fund revealed that ITZY's Lia donated 30 million won through her agency, JYP Entertainment, to help support pediatric cancer patients.

According to reports, Lia's donation will be used to cover the treatment costs of selected pediatric and adolescent cancer patients in low-income families, who are being treated at the National Cancer Center.

Seo Hong-kwan, Chairman of the National Cancer Center Development Fund, said, “JYP Entertainment signed an agreement with the National Cancer Center last May and has been working on social contribution activities for the treatment of pediatric cancer patients, and this time, ITZY Lia’s donation has added to its positive influence," adding, “We are grateful for the continued good deeds of JYP artists, and the interest and good deeds of these artists are a great help to the efforts of the National Cancer Center and the National Cancer Center Development Fund to create a world without worrying about cancer.”

In September of this year, Lia began a temporary hiatus from group and individual activities due to health issues. Despite of this, Lia continues to share warmth to people in need through her generous donations.

Meanwhile, Lia's group, ITZY, is set to release their 2nd full album "BORN TO BE" on January 8th, 2024. Although Lia is unable to participate in the group's songs, performances, and promotions, the album contains Lia's solo song "Blossom."
