BABYMONSTER recently unveiled their highly awaited music video "BATTER UP" on November 27th currently with 34 million streams on YouTube as of writing.
The group consistently shared details about their journey and what it took them to become a part of BABYMONSTER, hence, since pre-debut they were able to amass a loyal following.
As their debut was postponed to make sure they would debut with a song with better quality, fans have since then expected to be wowed by their debut song.
However, the group's debut song received mixed reactions as according to fans it sounded like a remix of YG entertainment's songs.
@strawberryrozie horns with the trap beat are not my fav. #babymonster #lisa #strawberryrozie ♬ BATTER UP - BABYMONSTER
- I also noticed Batter Up also sounds like Bona Bona
- I don't understand the hype of Babymonster not gonna lie
- They’ve worked hard and the girls are so talented but their debut just sounded like a Blackpink remix. Wish they would try a different concept.
- Bona Bona + Money + Flip That + Ktl = Batter Up
- Bruh, what do you expect it's in the same entertainment company stop hating Babymonster
- I think the problem is not the sample because this is very common in the industry. The main problem it’s the fact that YG doesn’t innovate with their music.
- Sounds like Money and Bona Bona
- We all know YG is trying to recycle Blackpink knowing it worked with 2ne1.
- What does Batter Up even mean?
- Babymonster doesn't have the star factor like Blackpink.
- Oh they wanted a Blackpink 2.0 so bad...
- I hear what people are saying, it is the same concept and I wish they had tried something new but they did kinda market them as new BP so I get it.
