On November 6th, Cube Entertainment confirmed earlier reports that all BTOB members have decided not to renew their exclusive contracts with the agency. The agency said through an official statement, "We had a long and careful discussion with the members ahead of the expiration of BTOB's second exclusive contract, and as a result, we decided not to renew the contract by mutual agreement."
“With this, Cube Entertainment and BTOB’s Seo Eunkwang, Lee Minhyuk, Lee Changseop, Lim Hyunsik, Peniel, and Yook Sungjae have ended their 11-year partnership," Cube added. "We would like to thank BTOB for their proud performance as a member of Cube Entertainment over the years, and MELODY for always being by BTOB's side and supporting them. Unfortunately, the relationship between Cube Entertainment and BTOB has come to an end, but we will sincerely support the new growth and shining future of BTOB members who have infinite potential."
Regarding BTOB's trademarks rights, Cube Entertainment shared, "We are currently discussing positively with the members regarding trademark rights."
According to rumors, BTOB is determined to stay together as one team, which is why despite significant offers from many companies, they continued to negoatiate with Cube Entertainment, until the agency demanded a portion of the group's revenue just to be allowed to use their trademark rights.
