AB6IX is a four-member boy group under Brand New Music. The group name stands for Absolute or Above Brand New and the number 6 signifies the unity between the 5 members and its 1 fandom.
The group originally debuted as five: MXM's Youngmin and Donghyun, Former Wanna One Members Daehwi and Woojin, and Jeon Woong who was known for being a JYP and YG Trainee.
The group made their official debut on May 22, 2019, with their first EP titled “B: Complete”, which featured the lead single “Breathe”.
On June 8, 2020, Brand New Music announced that Youngmin had departed from the group due to his involvement in a DUI incident. The group continued their activities as a quartet. Youngmin later debuted as a Soloist in August 2023.
