Amber (엠버) also known as Amber Liu, is a Taiwanese-American rapper and singer currently active in South Korea.
At 15, she moved from her hometown of Los Angeles to Seoul to pursue her music career. A few years later, she debuted in 2009 in what would become the iconic K-pop group f(x). The band would go on to win numerous awards, becoming not only South Korea's biggest act but renowned internationally, with 6 of their albums reaching #1 on the charts.
Since then, Amber has collaborated with top producers and acts including Anna Kendrick, Superfruit and R3hab.
Having over 5 million Instagram and 2 million Twitter followers, Amber has become an online influencer and icon to this generation.
Amber embarked on her own solo career in 2015 with her EP “Beautiful” and continues to evolve as an artist, songwriter, and creative director. Recently, she made a splash with her self-produced mixtape “Rogue Rouge” and EP "X".
In 2019, Amber officially left SM Entertainment, and signed a contract with American label SteelWool Entertainment.
