Gunmin is a South Korean singer under GH Entertainment. He is a member of the boy group B.I.G, their subunit Gunmin X Heedo, the Japanese-Korean project boy group NIK, and the co-ed group Triple7.
He debuted in 2014 as B.I.G's main dancer and vocalist with their single "Hello", immediately praised for the lyrics highlighting South Korean culture and the promotion to their own country.
Last 2016, they signed a contract with HY Entertainment and debuted in Japan with their first mini album "Aphrodite" and the Japanese rendition of the song "Taola",
In 2020, he entered the global idol project called "G-EGG", he was selected to join the final lineup that debuted in South Korea in September of 2021 with the single "Santa Monica" and after a week, they also debuted in Japan with the single "Universe"
That same year he was named B.I.G;s new leader after J-Hoon was discharged from the military and agreed to the change and also to join the co-ed group 777.
On January 14, 2023, GH Entertainment announced that Gunmin will be enlisting in the military on January 26, 2023. He was discharged on October 25th, 2024.
