Choi Minki, popularly known as Ren, is the Maknae of the Boy group NU'EST under Pledis Entertainment. In 2017, he competed in Produce 101 Season 2 alongside group members JR, Baekho, and Minhyun.

On February 28, 2022, Pledis Entertainment announced that the NU'EST members' contracts will expire on March 14 and Ren decided not to renew with the company.
