Jiyoon is a South Korean singer, dancer, rapper, songwriter, and producer.
On October 29, 2017, she joined the reality competition show, MIXNINE as a contestant representing FAVE Entertainment. She was eliminated in episode 10 after ranking in 44th place.
Yoonie made her debut as a member of Weeekly on June 30, 2020, under the stage name Jiyoon, which is also her birth name. She was the group’s lead vocalist, lead dancer, and rapper.
On August 1, 2021, Play M Entertainment (merger of IST and Cre.ker Entertainment) announced that Jiyoon would be entering a hiatus from all group activities due to reoccurring stress and anxiety. On June 1, 2022, IST Entertainment announced that Jiyoon would be leaving the group due to health issues.
On April 8, 2024, Yoonie announced that she would release her debut digital single "Yellow Light" the following day, on April 9.
