Lee Jin Hyuk Announces Departure From TOP Media

On February 28th, singer-actor Lee Jin Hyuk shared a handwritten letter thanking fans and announcing his departure from TOP Media Entertainment. He said, "To be honest, I am still afraid and nervous to part ways with the company I have shared the joys and sorrows of for 13 years, since my second year of middle school. I debuted as a 20-year-old UP10TION member Wei, received precious love and promoted, and received even greater love and opportunities from you as 24-year-old Lee Jin Hyuk. I will continue to work hard so you can continue loving me."

Top Media also confirmed Lee Jin Hyuk's departure from the agency, saying, "Lee Jin Hyuk's exclusive contract, which has been with us for a long time, will end on March 11th. After careful discussion with Lee Jin Hyuk over a long period of time, we have mutually agreed to terminate the contract. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Lee Jin Hyuk who has always been sincere and brilliant under any name, from trainee Lee Seongjun, to UP10TION's Wei, to soloist Lee Jin Hyuk."

Lee Jin Hyuk made his official debut in September 2015 as a member of the boy group UP10TION. He rose to fame after participating in the survival show 'Produce X 101.' After the show, he focused on promoting as a soloist and acted in several dramas, such as "Dear M" and "Why Her?"

Earlier today, five members of UP10TION were also announced to be leaving the agency.

Hello.
This is Lee Jin Hyuk.

To be honest, I am still afraid and nervous to part ways with the company I have shared the joys and sorrows of for 13 years, since my second year of middle school.

I debuted as a 20-year-old UP10TION member Wei, received precious love and promoted, and received even greater love and opportunities from you as 24-year-old Lee Jin Hyuk.

I think I had a lot of regrets in the past. "I should've just said this," "I should've done that," "I shouldn't have forgotten." But if I didn't have those moments, I wouldn't be here today.

I had a lot of regrets if it wasn't a quick choice or opportunity, but I think all of them gathered to make Lee Jin-hyuk now. But, of course, I didn't get through the hard times alone. The fans who only gave me unconditional love and the TOP Media family who thought of a good direction together were the source of my strength every time.

Especially, I have never forgotten the love of my fans. The people who received it from the age of 20 were the biggest strength and driving force for me and my members.
