"I'm sorry to have kept you waiting so long. I know you wanted to hear from me," Rosé wrote on her social networking service on Wednesday.
"Personally, I didn't want to say or present anything before everything was confirmed" she said, "but ultimately, I'm happy to announce that I'm officially working with The Black Label."
On the previous day, The Black Label said it signed a management contract with Rosé. Rosé said, "I've been working on new music almost every day since the end of last year. I will make other very interesting music in the near future."
"I hope everyone is waiting impatiently my music," she said, asking for expectations for the new song.
Rosé decided to go to The Black Label thanks to Teddy, who had worked with her for a long time since her YG days. Starting out as a YG-affiliated label, The Black Label has Teddy, a member of the group One Time, as its head. Teddy wrote a number of hits at YG and became the star of Big Bang and 2NE1, and later founded The Black Label in 2016.

After The Black Label was launched, he continued to produce songs for YG artists. In the process, he proved his capability once again with BLACKPINK. Their debut songs "Whistle" and "Boombayah" were all created by Teddy, who also participated in "Like It's Your Last," "Forever Young," "Ddu-Ddu-Du-Ddu," "Kill This Love," "How You Like That," and "Shut Down."
