Johnny is the lead dancer, sub rapper, and sub vocalist of the group NCT and its sub-units NCT 127 and NCT U.
Johnny was born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. In 2007, he was accepted through the SM Global Audition in Chicago. He trained alongside EXO until he finally made his official debut as an NCT member in 2016.
Johnny debuted as a member of NCT 127 on January 6, 2017, with the group's second mini-album, "NCT#127 Limitless".
