Introduction

Umji is a South Korean singer under Big Planet Made. She is a member of the girl group VIVIZ and a former member of the girl group GFriend.

The CEO of Source Music saw her walking on the street and invited her to audition for the agency. She eventually debuted as a member of GFriend on January 15, 2015, with the EP Season of Glass. After six years of successful promotions, GFriend disbanded on May 22, 2021. Following this, all members left the agency, including Umji.

On October 6, 2021, it was announced that Umji, along with former GFriend members, Eunha and SinB, have signed a contract with BPM Entertainment to debut as a three-member group. VIVIZ debuted on February 9, 2022, with the mini album Beam of Prism.
