TWICE and SEVENTEEN: Two Idol Groups Celebrating 10 Years of Success with No Member Changes

Two idol groups that have been active without any changes in members and are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year.

TWICE

TWICE is a nine-member girl group under JYP Entertainment. They were formed through the competition reality show SIXTEEN and officially debuted on October 20, 2015, with the mini album The Story Begins.

The group consists of Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Dahyun, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu, and Momo.

TWICE is celebrating their 10th anniversary on October 20, 2025! Since debuting, they've been super active, with members like Jihyo, Tzuyu, and Nayeon launching their own solo projects. They've also got a subunit, MISAMO, made up of their Japanese members Mina, Momo, and Sana. Even though TWICE has achieved so much, people don’t always talk about all their success. Over the years, they’ve won tons of awards, including seven Circle Chart Music Awards, twelve Golden Disc Awards, twenty MAMA Awards, five Melon Music Awards, and seven Seoul Music Awards. They've also been nominated for three MTV Europe Music Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards. With epic performances in huge venues and stadiums, fans are feeling all sorts of emotions as they celebrate 10 years of TWICE staying true to themselves.

SEVENTEEN

Often shortened as SVT, it is a thirteen-member boy group under Pledis Entertainment. They made their official debut on May 26, 2015, with the mini album 17 Carat.

They have three units: Vocal, Hip-Hop, and Performance. The vocal unit comprises Woozi, Joshua, DK, Jeonghan, and Seungkwan. On the other hand, the hip-hop unit consists of S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon. And lastly, the performance unit with members Hoshi, Jun, The8, and Dino. SEVENTEEN's name is said to be derived from "13 members + 3 units + 1 group," expressing how thirteen individuals from three different sub-units come together to form one powerful group.

The group has accomplished so much over the years, and they’ve been getting a lot more attention lately, which they totally deserve because of all their hard work. SEVENTEEN, another huge South Korean group, has also had a ton of success. They’ve won a Billboard award, three big Daesangs at the Golden Disc Awards, two Daesangs at the Asian Artist Awards, and even performed at the 2024 Glastonbury Festival. But Carats are feeling a bit heavy-hearted this anniversary since SEVENTEEN is starting to send members off to the military, with Jeonghan being the first. There’s also talk that Hoshi might be next, followed by Wonwoo and Woozi. It's a bittersweet moment, but fans are still supporting them every step of the way.
