tripleS (Korean: 트리플에스; Japanese: トリプルS) is a 24-member girl group under MODHAUS. They were introduced to the public through a pre-debut project that began in May 2022, where each of the members were being revealed periodically. Their name stands for "Social Sonyo Seoul".
With a unique concept, tripleS aims to be the world's first decentralized K-pop idol group. The members will rotate between the group, sub-units, and solo activities, as chosen by fans as they will be able to participate and communicate with the group such as deciding the sub-units and the content through NFT photo cards called "Objekts". The group's concept is the members have the special ability "S" and that they will join forces and demonstrate their abilities through the "Dimension" and will be recreated every season with new concepts.
From May to December 2022, the first ten members were revealed, starting by SeoYeon and followed by HyeRin, JiWoo, ChaeYeon, YooYeon, SooMin, NaKyoung, YuBin, Kaede and then DaHyun the following months. With the ten revealed members, tripleS made their debut with the mini album "ASSEMBLE".
New members Kotone, YeonJi, Nien, SoHyun, Xinyu and Mayu were revealed from January to July 2023. The sixteen revealed members were put into two units: LOVElution and EVOLution, who both debuted during the year.
On April 10, 2023, their fandom name was revealed to be "WAV".
On December 11, 2023, four new members were teased through the newly formed unit NXT. Then, Lynn, JooBin, HaYeon and ShiOn were revealed as the new tripleS members from December 21 to 24.
On February 22, 2024, it was reported that tripleS will release their first full-length album as a full-group, meaning the four last members would be revealed soon. From April 1 to 4, the four last members were revealed to be ChaeWon, Sullin, SeoAh, and JiYeon.
