In 2021, Hikaru participated in the MNET survival show Girls Planet 999 where she finished 7th place, securing her spot as a member of the South Korean project girl group Kep1er.
Hikaru debuted as a member of Kep1er on January 3, 2022, with their first mini-album "First Impact" and the title track "WA DA DA."
