Introduction

Jackson Wang, also known as Wang Ka-Yee, was born on March 28, 1994. He is from Hong Kong and used to be a representative of the country’s national fencing team. He won two gold medals at the Asian Junior Olympics in Thailand in 2011—he says that the medals convinced his parents to let him train in South Korea. After years of training, he became an official member of the boy group GOT7 under JYP Entertainment in January 2014.

Jackson became a famous singer and TV star, not only in South Korea but around the world. His skills, personality, and proficiency in languages such as Korean, Cantonese, English, and Mandarin facilitated his career, especially in US and China. He established “Team Wang” in 2017 for his solo work in China and finally had a solo debut in August of the same year.

After their contract with JYP Entertainment expired in 2021, Jackson and his bandmates decided to leave the company and focus on their solo and group projects. Since then, Team Wang has been in charge of his international activities. There were alleged reports that they had also partnered with Sublime Artist Agency, which was later confirmed on January 22.
