MADEIN is a six-member South Korean girl group under 143 Entertainment. They debuted on September 3, 2024, with their first EP 'Rise'.
On August 12, 2022, MiU, Suhye, and Gaeun were introduced as members of LIMELIGHT. They released the pre-debut EP "Limelight" on September 29, 2022, before making their official debut as a trio on February 17, 2023, with the EP "Love & Happiness". They promoted for a year before it was announced on January 11, 2024, that their third EP, titled "Last Dance", would be the group's last release as a trio as the group plans to reorganize and add more members.
On May 10, 2024, it was reported that former "Produce 101 Japan The Girls" contestants Saito Serina and Abe Nagomi would be joining LIMELIGHT as new members. Two weeks later, on May 30, WAKEONE announced that Mashiro and Yeseo who were part of Kep1er, a project girl group formed through Girls Planet 999, had not renewed their contracts with the agency and would thus be leaving Kep1er.
On July 15, 2024, all SNS accounts belonging to LIMELIGHT were rebranded as MADEIN, indicating a fresh start for the group. The next day, it was reported that Mashiro and Yeseo would be part of MADEIN's lineup. On July 29, all seven members of MADEIN were revealed.
On August 15, 2024, the group's debut date was announced to be September 3, with the release of their first EP and its title track "UNO".
On November 29, 2024, it was announced that Gaeun left the group due to personal circumstances.
