HyunA (현아) is a South Korean singer and rapper under AT AREA. She is a former member of the girl group 4minute, duo Trouble Maker, trio Triple H, duo HyunA&DAWN, and member of the predebut girl group 4Tomorrow. She originally debuted as a member of the girl group Wonder Girls in 2007 but left the same year due to health reasons.
Hyuna re-debuted as a member of 4minute with the single "Hot Issue" on June 15, 2009. She later made her solo debut in January 4, 2010 with the single "Change".
In 2012, Hyuna appeared in Psy's viral music video for "Gangnam Style," having been selected personally by him. Psy later released the female version of "Gangnam Style", known as "Oppa Is Just My Style" in August 2012, featuring additional vocals by Hyuna herself.
On August 2, 2018, photos of Hyuna with Pentagon's E'Dawn were released. Cube Entertainment denied their dating rumors, however, she and Dawn confirmed their relationship which began in May 2016. On September 13th, Cube Entertainment announced that they would be terminating their contracts, citing that they could not "maintain trust" with them. HyunA officialy left Cube Entertainment on October 15th.
On November 28, 2019, HyunA posted a letter on Instagram opening up about her health. She revealed that, in 2016, she was diagnosed with depression and panic disorder and later was diagnosed with vasovagal syncope as well.
On January 27, 2019, she and her now ex-partner, DAWN, signed with PSY's new agency, P Nation.
On February 3, 2022 HyunA and Dawn confirmed that they were engaged. In November of the same year, HyunA announced via Instagram that they'd broken up.
