"I'm your hope, you're my hope, I am J-Hope" Jung Hoseok (정호석), best known by his stage name J-Hope, is a South Korean Dancer, Rapper, Songwriter, and Producer signed under Big Hit Entertainment. He is the Main Dancer and Rapper of the sensational boy group BTS.
J-Hope took dancing classes at Gwangju Music Academy and became a part of an underground dance team called "Neuron" in which he went by the name Smile Hoya. Finding inspiration in G-Dragon and Beenzino, J-Hope initially auditioned for JYP Entertainment but ultimately became part of Big Hit Entertainment. Eventually, J-hope debuted as a member of the group BTS; a boy group that went on to grow as a worldwide phenomenon. With passion and ceaseless efforts, J-Hope became one of the most sought after artists of his generation.
J-Hope released his first solo mixtape, "Hope World" in 2018, and became the highest-charting Korean soloist at the time on Billboard 200.
